Calum Chambers Joins Aston Villa

In a deal that’s come out of the blue, Arsenal have announced the sale of Calum Chambers to Aston Villa. The player joins Villa on a 3.5 year deal.

He was one of several players with a contract expiring in the summer, so the fee is not likely to be high.

Calum Chambers was originally bought as a right back by Arsene Wenger, but in his time at Arsenal he’s not really had long periods in the team. His loans have been successful, the most successful of these was at Fulham in 2018-19 where he won their player of the season.

He has not had a lot of game time this season. Hope he gets more time at Villa
